hmm, then this one may take longer than the merge...

how about this, we create a list that can easily be added to by people

basically we ask the community, if they have some functionality that they
miss from beryl or compiz when using merged code, to list that functionality
in this list (and have someone moderate it frequently for repetition, spam,
etc, and then it becomes a framework for "merge" work.

hmm, seeing as there can't be that many left, it can be a simple numbered
list :D

Alphabetical or harshness?

harshness

ignoring flame wars and carrying them out on a personal basis outside the
mailing list until it's resolved and then come back to the list with the
resolution of the "personalised" flamewar

computer games are also a good way
(unless you suck at them and take them really seriously, then it gets
stressful :P)

stepping away from the computer and sitting in a garden with *gasp* real
things, like trees and birds
that can help :D

emptying head of all computer related thoughts may help

and remembering that sticks and stones may hurt your bones, but words never
shall, may be a good thing to apply here
