1. We are running Community web services not commercial services
2. Please list out why we cannot use open source alternatives (DO NOT
list features we can happily live without, i.e., updates/patches)
3. Free alternatives have been and are serving communities need of
compiz, beryl and countless other projects
4. vBulletin is the best choice - saying so doesn't make it so, best
choice is the one that reflects project's nature and alliance.

Point number 2 and 3 are very important when making decision so please
do try to overlook those.

And please do not play down the role of morality here, i wouldn't give
up my morality in this aspect (support for OSS) for some piece of
commercial software I can live without.

We should perhaps start another thread with topic "Forum software" I
am not going to sit quite when someone picks a software saying there
are no good OSS alternatives that we found useful.
