I might be in way over my head here. I'm not a developer, I'm an
active and heavy user, that would like to see some progress on the
overall merge. And, judging by the last couple of days, there seems to
be a positive atmosphere here, so I throw my 2 cents in.

I think that [subdomain.compiz.org] is a great idea. Strong, marketing
directed at the actual core of this project.

As a user, I'm overwhelmed by the amount of composite-dependant eye
candy out there, and I'd like to propose a structure like this:

dock.compiz.org (for info on the Compiz-dependant docks, AWN,
Gnome-dock, Kiba-dock, etc)
widget.compiz.org (for info on Screenlets, etc)
dev.compiz.org (collected developer documentation for e.g. people
wanting to create their own Compiz-dependant app)
etc...

All subdomains have their main section in the forums, hosted on
compiz.org. (Making Beryl-users switch should be easy enough, as long
as it will be permanent)

If not all app-authors are up for this, so be it, but the idea is
still to have some info on different types of eye candy (getting tired
of that word :)). Doing this as a wiki could make this possible.

My reason for asking this is, as opposed to now, I think that really
consolidating on one place would be beneficial to app authors, compiz
devs and users that won't have to stumble across stuff through Google
or random forum threads.
