Just because a thread is not active NOW does not mean that it
will not ever become active.
Everyone who has registered and set their preferences to notify
on new posts will lose all contact and think their feature request/bug
is being ignored. Like RYX says, its all very unprofessional and
sloppy.
Now can you please explain the scope of the forum?
Would it not be a bit strange for compiz users to go to a forum
called compcomm (or whatever) for support? Will the new
forum even support compiz (without the extra plugins and setting
stuff)?
Nobody has ever explained other than saying that compiz is the
core, we are different. If that is the case, then compiz still needs
a support forum and you are doing the same thing as the beryl
fork by removing that.
